4-5 polyps per frag. Stock Photo your frag will not appear exactly as the image. From the Seahorse Aquarium Supply Farm. The AOI Zoanthid is a classic, high‑contrast zoa morph known for its deep blue face, bright orange ring, and glowing green skirt — a simple but striking color combo that makes it a staple in both beginner and collector tanks. It’s hardy, fast‑growing, and extremely photogenic under blue LEDs. Identity & Appearance AOIs have a clean, bold pattern that makes them instantly recognizable. Typical features include: • Deep navy to royal blue center • Bright orange inner ring (the signature AOI highlight) • Neon green outer ring or skirt • Long, alternating green lashes • Strong fluorescence under actinic lighting The contrast between the blue face and orange ring is what gives AOIs their iconic look. Growth & Behavior AOIs are fast growers and very forgiving. Once settled, they: • Spread quickly across plugs and rock • Form tight, uniform colonies • Maintain color well in a wide range of lighting • Tolerate minor parameter swings better than many high‑end morphs They’re excellent “builder” zoas for filling space in a garden. Lighting & Placement AOIs thrive in moderate PAR with a blue‑heavy spectrum. Ideal conditions: • PAR 80–150 • Low to moderate flow • Mid‑level placement on rockwork or frag racks Too much light can lighten the blue center; too little can mute the orange ring. Feeding Feeding isn’t required, but AOIs respond well to occasional micro‑foods: • Reef roids • Fine zooplankton • Coral‑specific powdered blends Feeding boosts growth and helps maintain thick, healthy polyps. Hardiness & Compatibility AOIs are: • Very hardy • Fully reef‑safe • Peaceful • Resistant to melting compared to more delicate zoas They’re a great choice for beginners and a reliable staple for shops and collectors. Why Reefers Love Them • Bold blue + orange + green contrast • Fast, reliable growth • Great fluorescence under blues • Perfect for zoa gardens • Beginner‑friendly but still collector‑worthy
